I found it at Ernie Latter&#039;s table in his box of Hard Times Tokens. Although not extremely rare, they don&#039;t appear too often and when they do they get a good price as most Philadelphia stamps do. Of the two dozen or so documented all but two or three are on Half Cents and Large Cents. This one on a Spanish 2-Reales is rare so I was lucky to come across it.</p><p>William D. Rapp was a Philadelphia silversmith from 1828 until about 1860 or shortly after. He had a shop at 256 Race St. in the 1830&#039;s but by the end of his career he had relocated to 718 Race.
