I love the non-metallic medals and tokens. Yours is a real beauty.

I bought these two die trial tokens recently. Both are from the Crescent City Coin Club in New Orleans c1960s. I always had an interest in these trial pieces and have a small number in my collection.

Here's another die trial for a medal of the Numismatists of Wisconsin. I have a finished medal with the same design.

Here's the reverse of the finished medal. This is really interesting because it's struck over a Morgan Dollar and shows a decent amount of undertype.

Nice, Z. This reverse was generic to member clubs in the Numismatists of Wisconsin. Mine was issued by the Nicolet CC. How about yours?

I also have the non-overstrike 1965 medal and a 1973 Racine Numismatic Society medal as well.

They softened up the badger by 1973. He is not as menacing on the later dies.

I just recently won this Rochester medal on eBay. It's very impressive at 63mm.

Lesser known than the Moonlight Mint / Daniel Carr and Gallery Mint / Ron Landis, the Royal Oak Mint / Mike Bozynski pieces are much more difficult to find.

Mike made an amazing variety of numismatic reproductions. Many of the dies he used were engraved by notable artists known for their work. One such engravers is Heidi Wastweet.

The dies for these "questionable color" 1928 Hawaiian Sesquicentennial commemorative half dollar was reported to have been engraved by Heidi.
