My latest submission for this week.

    It's a Hardware Store token.

I have become slightly smitten by hardware store tokens. There are some really nice OLD ones, but they are hard to get.

This one is from an establishment in Denver Colorado it seems. I picked this one up, but am now looking for a Lowe's, a Home Depot, and an Ace Hardware to go along with it.

I found it funny that a hardware store would be associated with a boarding house, but maybe they were stocking some exotic wood . . . . .

All the good stuff seems to be coming out of Colorado these days.

(I know this post is gonna get me booted, I just know it.)

I got this Great Britain gold and silver medal set for about melt value in a nice presentation box because of Prince Andrew's waning popularity / legal issues. Subject matter aside, I think these are rather beautiful. IMG_4220.JPG IMG_4222.JPG IMG_4221.JPG

The Medal below is a Wilmington & Western Railroad high relief or 3d look Medal made in Canada, it's amazing in hand! Steam locomotives bring back very happy memories for me! :D

"This 38mm Copper token / medal was issued in 1972 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Wilmington & Western Railroad. The obverse has a great pictorial of a Steam Engine and the reverse a pictorial of the Greenbank station in 1872. This example will be a great addition to anyone's transit or Steam Engine collection."

I purchased the set a few years ago at the Wilmington Coin Club show. I gave it to my great nephew who is an avid fan and does wonderful videos. iY1Vyh0oQNi89P4E4gVm_Wilmington and Western Railroad 100th Anniv-vert.jpg

Okay, so mine must have been in a set at one time! :cigar: These Medals were very well made with edge lettering including a number and in hand they look fantastic! Cool video, brings back memories of my Grandfather! :D

Here's my fantasy brothel on a casino chip.

Has to be a fantasy with China in the name.

J.F. Wiley Soda Fount. and Ice Cream Parlor. Social Circle Ga. aluminum, 1.9grams, 29mm, 8scallops, rotated 90 degrees. Wiley owned the soda fountain from 1914 to 1930.

Soda fountain and ice cream parlor, I love this token! I even celebrated winning it with some Haagen-Dazs Mango ice cream today. 20210701_173400~2.jpg 20210701_173341~3.jpg
