Cowpens Drug Store, Cowpens South Carolina, toned brass, M/A, 4.5grams, 21mm The Battle of Cowpens, fought between British and American forces in Jan. 1781 near Cowpens was considered an American victory. But I pretty much bought the token because I like the name, the dark toning and the simple way the town got it's name: A woman named Hannah had some cow enclosures nicknamed Hannah's Cowpens. Those are cool! Thanks for the heads-up. Those are a real rarity . . . . . . Congrats on the pickup. Sure to be very sought after pieces . . . . . https://www.landisstudios.net/product-page/felix-schlag-jefferson-2-piece-set Z
@ZoidMeister, I thought you would like those. Glad he didn't put 3 mint marks on it I'll have to check to see if I have any nickel holders.
I have been dreaming of owning just ONE of these strikes for quite a while, but every time one of the older FSNC examples comes up, I just can't do the $$$. This makes a set really affordable. Last I looked, there were only 18 sets left. They should be gone before dark . . . . . Z
@ZoidMeister I found it over yonder on the CU boards. Like you, I always wanted to get a set, but other things seemed more important at the time. like $3 gold pieces, Seated Liberty coins, and so on and so forth and Dobie Dobie do.
I might have a few spares. I've been ordering the PCCB's from China lately as my old US seller has dried up. I really like the quality, but hate the 30 day delivery times. I guess I need to learn patience. Don't forget the 7070 hole fillers . . . . Z
@ZoidMeister Don't forget the 7070 hole fillers . . . . Did I forget something? My 7070 is finished, I'm just doing some up dating.
