It seems that there are tens of thousands of these tokens floating around.

Cowpens Drug Store, Cowpens South Carolina, toned brass, M/A, 4.5grams, 21mm

The Battle of Cowpens, fought between British and American forces in Jan. 1781 near Cowpens was considered an American victory.

But I pretty much bought the token because I like the name, the dark toning and the simple way the town got it's name: A woman named Hannah had some cow enclosures nicknamed Hannah's Cowpens.

I have been dreaming of owning just ONE of these strikes for quite a while, but every time one of the older FSNC examples comes up, I just can't do the $$$.

This makes a set really affordable. Last I looked, there were only 18 sets left. They should be gone before dark . . . . .

I found it over yonder on the CU boards. Like you, I always wanted to get a set, but other things seemed more important at the time.
like $3 gold pieces, Seated Liberty coins, and so on and so forth and Dobie Dobie do.

I might have a few spares. I've been ordering the PCCB's from China lately as my old US seller has dried up. I really like the quality, but hate the 30 day delivery times. I guess I need to learn patience.
