This one is on its way to me: a uniface meganummus of Constantine. It is three (!) inches across and weighs eight(!) ounces. Fairly well executed and no idea who made it and for what purpose.
I found a few of these Italian Telephone Tokens in a bag of coins that a friend gave me. I think they're interesting.
Back in the seventies when there was a shortage of coins in Italy, these tokens traded for ten Lire which was practically next to nothing. In shops you would also be given sweets instead of change; yeah, I'm getting old....
