I just picked this up from eBay a couple of days ago for my numismatic exonumia collection. These earlier pieces, before the 1960s, aren't often seen. This appears to be more of a medallion rather than a medal, and is a pretty good size. A nice piece although it's been cleaned. Bruce
I really haven't purchased a new one in a long time. I thought this one was pretty interesting. I think its listed as R but not sure if this is true. I haven't seen this one before.......but that may not mean much Its listed as. 1794 Gt Britain COVENTRY Half-penny token NGC MS65RB D&H 249
Here is one for Bruce Came out of the 50% off bin 2x2 had Miners tag written on it. Could be or a tool check or just about anything
Not only is this the coolest love token I’ve ever seen, not only did @lordmarcovan pull this out of his private stash but then he sent it to me as a gift. It’s a young head queen Victoria shilling with the best engraving I’ve ever seen for Papa. Since my older daughter is named Victoria, like Lord M’s daughter, this is a very special and generous gift. I could cut and paste this post over on the “Coins you’ll never sell” thread.
Found another medal from the Husky Oil Companies "Rugged American" Series. Some info from Numista https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces88458.html Coin Collecting + Gas and Oil exonumia...I can't resist
I am using this site, as a reference. Is it good enough or is there a better one on line? Also, that particular Scovill's is it only paired with the same reverse? By the way, I really like the remaining luster. It was a bonus for the price.
I used to collect CWTs pretty seriously years ago, Pickin and Grinin, but don't have access to my references right now. Sorry, I can't help you with the pairings. Bruce
Looking at Fulds Patriotic Tokens 5th Edition I think you have a Fuld 164/312, R-1 Token. This was based on UNION being incluse, no stars above eagle, and a bold even strike resulting in Die 164. The reverse is Beaded Border, left sword handle end under N, right sword handle end right of Y, for Die 312. Rarity is listed as 1. Can anyone else confirm? Nice looking token.
