St. Peter's Basilica? This is as close as I'm likely to get. Pius IX medal of 1869, 82mm, 270 gms.

Nice one. :) Here is a topic, in an Italian forum, about that medal and others featuring the "papal churches" ...

The incredibly exquisite detail on the reverse of this medal is beyond astonishing in its execution.

Many of the papal medals have beautiful detail, even today. But the modern ones, especially now that they are computer engraved, don't seem to have that same touch.

That's really a shame, because since as you say that medal is typical of the previous method of medal-making, those are all incredible gems of the art. It's somewhat sad when (likely necessary) modernization somehow ends up taking the ultimate quality of the final product backwards rather than forwards, but you nevertheless will still always have all of your other fabulous "original-style" medals to enjoy!

A very unique, eye-catching and all-around well designed token and/or medallion.

This medallion is both refreshingly simple stylistically and very powerfully bold finish-wise; a really impressive piece.

I picked up a pile of these tokens today at a local auction. The Co-op in the UK is a socially aware society that in the early days helped out people down on their luck by making sure they got the basics - bread and milk. The tokens were used in part to ensure money was not spent on alcohol or tobacco instead!

These examples from Northampton, Wellingborough and Long Buckby. I believe these mostly date from the early 20th century.

Ingenious in the origins of usage and unique as to their historical legacy. Congrats on your splendid acquisition!

Fabulous pieces! Incidentally, love the state of Washington...reminds me a lot of my native Austria, minus the Lederhosen.
