I have one of each of these (ADMIT and PAID). Love them! Really neat pieces of early 19th Century exonumia.
That is cool to have the set. I had seen a photo of one somewhere. Probably here on CT. Did not really know anything about it, so I figured I would grab it. My coin guy lets me return coins if I want too. Do you have any idea of value?
I started a thread about this medal, if anyone wants to read more. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/the-victoria-brigde-medal.300567/#post-2811145
An older one I picked up at my one foray to NYINC (love to go back some day). I had an older phone image that wasn't so good, and recently put it under my 'real' camera. A little more work on lighting, and it would be nice to show the 'shine' too, but as a detail shot I like it. Trying to decide if I like a light or dark background for it. vs.
Puts things in perspective, when you stop and think how recent the light bulb is! !929 Golden Jubilee of the invention of the light bulb.
Some kind of shooting medal. I should know more about this one but all I have so far is: "Bovy, Hugues (1841-1903) and F. Beauverd. Silver, 47 mm, 46 grams, mintage 966. The event was the 1896 National Shooting Exposition in Geneva". I have a book on these I've barely cracked, and really aught to sell as I never really went this direction in collection. On the other hand they are a great collecting interest and every time I think to sell this medal or the book I get cold feet thinking it still might happen.
