Guess this is one of those things that you had to be there. As near as I can figure out. It was a TV program in NOLA at the time. Plagued with attendance problems, the 1984 Louisiana World Exposition has the distinction of being the only exposition to declare bankruptcy during its run. I guess being in the parade and the throws didn't help attendance

A couple Canadian provincial tokens I picked up yesterday An Irish merchant token And some rubber notgeld from Saxony
Maybe stretching exonumia too far, but this cat badge was just so cute! Mintmark tells me it was assayed in Birmingham in 1945.
Here's one I picked that goes back aways. It's from Baltimore Md. United Railways & Elec. Company Good for one school fare. Street cars fare for students . I'm guessing 1920's -30's.
Well after researching this piece I found out this... United Railways & Elec co. Was in business from 1899-1935. In 1900 the company built a power plant at the Baltimore Harbor.....many of you whom have visited the inner harbor have seen this building ,at one time it was owned by ESPN,and also Bally owned it under the name of "The Power Plant" a short lived indoor amusement park. You also know it as it has 4 large smoke stacks , on a dark brick building . The company built the power plant in 1900 to power the system of street cars. However the Baltimore fire of 1904. Both the rail car system and power plant had extensive damage. However the building still stands today. United Railways went into bankruptcy in 1933. The company when through reorganization and opened as the Baltimore Transit company in 1935. 1970 the company was taken over by the state to become the Maryland Transit Administration . So My first guess of the date needs to be corrected . To 1899-1933 time frame for this token. I know of one other token that is available pm me for details. Top picture taken after the 1904 fire. Notice to the right the smoke stack type building , well it's not! It's the shot tower were musket shot was made by dropping hot lead down to form a ball into a tank of water to cool.
