There's a crappy coin-jewelry-pawn type shop nearby that's probably had these books for 15-20 years and the person who runs the shop has always asked unreasonably high prices for such items. Now the owners son is working there and he sees no value in old books. I pulled out this stack and asked him what he wanted for them. When he said $15, I couldn't pay him fast enough.

I picked a few more rare Chinese medals to show you. Panda Lunar series started in 2015 and the baby pandas have a mintage of 200 in 2014.

And yes it has been cleaned since it was encrusted with the cheap plastic material the the tokens were stored in for a long time. I bought this one and an 1 1/2 ounce medals st scrap silver, so cleaning them wouldn't matter


Picked this up as a maybe silver art round, it was very badly covered in an old style plastic curd form the pouch it and other were in. took a couple acetone soaks, and 6 runs through the ultrasonic heated cleaner and simple green. along with a nylon brush then a Tranex dip. I normally would not use the dip but they were so badly curded up and discolored form tarnish. Now that it is readable,

Not for the transit token as of yet, since I wasn't really a transit collector but the last 6 batch buys has had a lot of transit tokens. Since I ourchased the US tax token book I guess I will be hunting up that one next.

Well I googled it and found one new on Amazon for under $30.00 from hartzog
