I posted a piece I'm asking what-is-it about here: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/what-did-i-buy.262922/
A couple of nicely shaped miners checks to identify when miners assigned to the number were above or below ground. Basically body tags, that hung on a board in a minehead office.
Barber and Liberty Seated dime necklace. 8 1892 Barber dimes in the top row and four each 1875 and 1891 Liberty Seated dimes in the bottom row.
Bruce, it was worn enough that all of the eight Barber dimes are worn down to XF condition. Considering the consistency of the wear on the 1892 dimes and none dated after that this necklace was made during 1892. Host coins for love tokens are typically pulled out of circulation and this piece appears to have been well thought out given the dates of the coins used. Having four each 1875 and 1891 dimes is not a coincidence as there should have been at least a few dimes dated in the 1880's. I do not have it anymore. It was traded for a PCGS MS-63 1875-S In Wreath F-105 dime.
