Looks to be a local area token for afternoon movies.
Can you see a city or state?
    :)

Nope! Nothing was on the token. So your guess is as good as mine.

Did you get it from a local source?
Or was it a flea bay purchase?
The cost of the show 5¢ probably puts it anywhere in the late 30's to 40's depending on the size of the town or city.
Check to see if your area had a theater of the same name? Most cities did.
Then check with the local historical society.

I got it online but not from flea bay. Sadly this one might just always be a mystery.

Then I think you are correct unless one pops up with direct attribution.

USPS used to deliver lost keys for free if someone dropped them in a mail box and it had address tag on it.

I believe that was the post office policy. Not just a tag from Shell but any tag with an address. At one time businesses that sold pre-printed return address labels also offered key chain tags with home address printed on it.

1968 til 1979 I did have but 1 keys and it was on back of my dog tags Your most likely 100% right. Rental car had to worry about this or it was a part of a GSA contract.

Looks like Philadelphia White metal token was like the ones I used years ago in the NYC subway station 1958 1968 . I guess they had the same maker.
