I received three new Pidcock's today, a gorgeous Midd 1069 (my first beaver!) from Bill McKivor that grades almost XF, plus an overgraded Midd 415 and Midd 422 from an eBay seller who shall remain nameless.

Thanks to Yarm for the heads up on the McKivor farthing, Bill is a real gentleman who grades accurately and sells at fair prices. I owe you Yarm...

The 415 is actually pretty nice at VF+, too bad it was sold as XF/AU+. I'll post photos when I get some spare time and let everyone have a shot at grading it.

And my first Middlesex 415, sold as XF/AU+, I say VF+ and almost XF...

 

And a Middlesex 423a, sold as the less common 422, still pretty nice.




They can't all be mint state!

 

I agree with Duke and Catbert that the top image wins hands down.

Lettered Edge

Those are nice examples, hiho. Congrats. I've always like the Pidcock two-headed cow and the elephant. : )

Here's the lettered edge of the top token of the two Gloucestershire tokens pictured a few posts back.
It's the only token of the Badminton series to have a lettered edge.

Lady Godiva • Coventry, Warwickshire, 249

Here's an uncirculated token from Uncle Bill.

It has Lady Godiva on its obverse, and Coventry Cross on its reverse.

There is a bit of luster remaining. This example is rather dark in hand,
though of beautiful color with prooflike fields.

Wow, I just discovered this thread - I need to try and get away from the U.S. Coin and Coin Chat forums more often and explore some of the other forums on CoinTalk, that's for sure! This is a great thread, so many beautiful Conders all in one place!

I've only been collecting Conders for less than a year, but have learned quite a bit from my Conder mentors, so I jumped right in. I've posted several of mine on the U.S. Coin forum, not even thinking that this is the more appropriate place for them. I especially look for Conders with great eye appeal, interesting designs and history, cute critters, and I particularly like the ones that have large die cracks, cuds, and other "errors." Here are a few more of my Conders, a couple of which are the same as some of the ones posted by others on this thread.
