Man some of these are awesome. I'm really starting to gravitate towards them. Especially the hanging man & ones with highly detailed buildings / architecture
Picked up 2 Conder farthings. The detail on the Perthshire is super...these are roughly the size of a USA cent.
I think this is a Conder token but I've been unable to ID it. The motto on the side with the shield is on others from Cambridgeshire but I haven't found this one. It has "Payable in London" on the edge. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks, Mike
Been collecting "Conder Tokens", aka Provincial Tokens for a while. They are not my first passion, that's Byzantine. Here are three I hope you enjoy. The first a hapenny Lancastershire (Lancs 118). Second: hapenny, Middlesex die state II (Middx 98) Third: farthing, Perthshire (Perths 11) Sir Jeffrery Dunstan; Reverse is a mule struck with a half penny die. Fun stuff. Just picked up a farthing Dublin from a recent Baldwins sale, which is probably the last of the basement material.
Biohc - Your token is catalogued by Dalton and Hamer as Warwickshire Birmingham #58 and listed as rare.
I had some of my tokens photographed by JKCOINS. This is my Dorsetshire Poole DH3, the reverse is bulged due to the die.
This token is another one of my old friends, especially after attending the Token Congress in Northhampton. Visited the church yard where Benjamin Franklin's grandfather was buried.
