    Not so fast @Cascade ! Yours my not be identifiable (maybe set it out to tone, and see of it tones like a Morgan or a Peace?), but it still is the same size and shape as it left the mint (essentially).

    I pulled this while metal detecting. The week before, I got to handle a hammered coin from England at my MD club, and when I first saw this, and saw the size, and how it felt, I thought for sure I dug a hammered!

    It wasn't until later that night I realized what I had...

    It's also less then half the thickness it was originally.

    I don't know Cascade and SchwaVB57, that looks like a knock out plug on an electrical box to me......:D

    Yeah, I own plenty of culls, but nothing holds a candle to this one. It's a 1968-D! I keep it for the novelty.
