It is a Mint (Employee) Assisted issue. Not a True Mint error in my opinion.

I have been watching this item for a very long time.
    It will never sell.

I suppose impossible in that it could never happen in normal production, since you explained that it’s a Mint Assisted “error”

and i agree, all those "double " denomination , 11 centers and such are all fake..man made at the mint by bored employees trying to make a cupla hun on the side..out the back door with their fake errors, lol but they do command high prices for em..lol

    Correct.

Here are some other examples owned by Mint Error Collector and expert Fred Weinberg.

These cause a lot of controversy since they ate attributed as "Mint Errors"

Now that I disagree with. 11 Cent coins are real errors. They can occur. A Dime is smaller than a Cent Planchet and can fit into a Cent chamber to be struck... But not eveyone agrees so it my opinion.

Okay, I have a question though... Sorry I am new. How do I start a new post? I have an 1877 seated liberty half... And just was curious if anyone else has seen or has it? I apologize for interrupting your question!

Go to the Forums tab on the top of the page. Choose a forum that fits your coin in question. Hit Post a New Thread.. Add a short title. Then create your first post like you just did. Upload a picture. Then hit Create Thread.

So, PCGS grades them as "Mint Errors" to err on the side of caution. :cigar:;)
