thanks... in hand, the aquamarine toning really lights up. I picked that up from John at CRO, at a Baltimore show a few years back; couldn't get my checkbook out fast enough.
Picked up from Kagin's ANA auction in Atlanta. Posted in this thread because I noticed that I left out my VF 134 when I was posting 1827 Overtons earlier. This is a definite upgrade. Plus, it's a bump for a great thread.
This gal is my earliest date and most worn Bust Half. Anyone care to take a stab at the Overton? Can it even be figured out when they’re this worn?
Overton 106 Obverse-Stars Large and well formed. Date is 9 mm. high and leaning sharply to the left. 1 is higher and wider than 808. L has distinct crossbars in bottom. Stars 5 and 6 closer than 6 and 7. Reverse-50 C. is 2 1/4 mm. and low. Arrow to A is 1/2 mm. A center dot at upper edge of left wing near body. AM nearly touch at base. Right sides of T and I are in line. Arrowheads lightly joined.
The prominent center dot on the reverse immediately makes it either 102 or 106. The T/I relationship makes it 106. Then verify that you don't have a new marriage (and thus won the lottery) by checking the obverse.
My latest addition. I'll just use the true view since I take terrible pictures. O-106, R.3 PCGS called it VG-10.
