    Noticed the crazy amount of hairlines on the obverse of the O-118a. Cleaned?

    Obverse: Two points of star 1 solid to curl.
    Reverse: Point of leaf is between RI closer to base of R.
    M widely recut at left serifs.

    I think this is a neat variety, apparently engraved by someone who either couldn't speel or had too much to drink the night before.

    Yes, it is an NGC VG Details, "Improperly Cleaned" and has a bit of a shine to it.
    However, for about an AG price, I couldn't let it go.

    One of my favorite 1795 varieties.

    If someone offered to *give* me a nice, original, problem free R-4 or higher in VG-F, sure, I'd take it.

    But if someone offered to *sell* me one, yes, I'd turn it down.
