Yes the LN6 sets sold out fast at the Mint, about 2-3 days I think. Check eBay listings for the going prices, many sell around $120-$150 range. There are a lot of articles on the LN6 sets on CoinNews.Net just do a search on the site for "Lincoln Coin & Chronicles"
all of the coins in this post as spectactular ! The 2006 $5 piece back looks very much the same as a 1900 $5 piece back I have, check it out.
Both great. Nice start of toning on the IKE and the Washington is just perfect..Love that reverse.. thanks for sharing both.
I really love Ilni's Nolan Ryan coin on page 3. I have 2 baseball coins. The Bronze (Cy Young) minted USA 1976 the other a silver Nolan from Liberia. Traci
If the coin comes that way why crack it out,it's protection agains't scratches or if it comes in a plastic flip protection & it fits nicely into a pcgs box.I don't think any or few actually submit them for grading if they had to pay extra for the slab I know I wouldn't..
Because many people submit hundreds of them at once in a bulk submission which cost much less than $30 a coin (more like $10-$15 a coin). If enough of them grade MS/PR 70 vs. MS/PR 69 then the person submitting the coins can profit greatly by selling the 70s for big money and then just liquidating the 69s for close to melt value.
Good point illini420 but i thought ase,age and 2009 ultra high relief bullion etc coins only had intrinsic value and not numismatic value too true collectors that was my impression ! by the way hi Nighbor
My Favorite 1978 Filled S Jefferson Nickel Proof but circulated in change.Plus Roosevelt Lincoln cent. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYxdnjUHF68
Well maybe it's a gold coin and they are thinking of selling. If you're talking about a 2009 ASE, then I don't know and I have to agree with you. Here's one of my gold coins, a 1986 statue of liberty $5. :smile
Slab It ! I would have that $5 1986 Statue of Liberty Graded by PCGS or NGC ,what happens if for some reason you get sick or worse .I've seen families get robbed by people who do not get what the going prices for collections that no one in the family knew the value of.At least the families or who ever inherits collections and are not knowledgeable of coin or currency values get what it is worth and not have someone "call a MS 67 or higher a nice coin" !
