What we have here, is a 1972-D Lincoln Cent . This DDO can be found in one of the six listed on Coneca site . http://varietyvista.com/01b LC Doubled Dies Vol 2/DDO 1972-D.htm Ready, set, gooooooo ... Lol .......
Good job . 2 it was and 2 it is . Here's another for staging . Wexler looks like this . Coppercoins looks like this ( MDS ) . Here's mine . I think it's a little earlier then the one coppercoins is showing . Wexler is a later die state, then mine .
I think yours and Coppers are quite close, the split in the TL of N and the e look very similar, the t is different but could also be the lighting.
I think it's because I set the coin facing east to west and put the scope facing north to south .. This is the way wexler took his image ... I usually have the coin and the scope, facing north to south .. This is the way coppercoins took their image ... Call me lazy ...........
Is the direction in which you take an image of coin using phone important? Sometimes I may be to left of coin or right. Its hard to get proper light directly above it at times. Any suggestions ?
I want to get whatever device recommends for the rookie collector. I have seen the small hand held usb microscopes all over ebay but the reviews I've seen are horrible. Do you have recommendation for one that I won't be leaving a bad review over?
The stand for the scope is very important . I own a spiral one . https://www.dinolite.us/products/accessories/dino-lite-stands/ms22b Here's my scope . http://plugable.com/products/usb2-micro-250x/
Wow now very high priced at all. I almost went for one with big digital screen like a phone. Lighthouse I believe it was. My light is an led on a stand like yours with moveable arm. Ill check these out. Thanks
