    +1 with the exception of the Ike/Susan B. reverse...how do you top an eagle on the moon (craters and all!) with the earth in the background? Unless Hillary puts Bill and Monica on the first civilian flight...

    IMO the reverses of the Walker and Seated Liberty halves are the most beautiful.

    The Winged Liberty dime, SLQ, Walking Liberty half, Peace Dollar, $10 Indian, and $20 Saint Gaudens are the most beautiful coins the US ever minted.

    I think had JFK not died and been placed on the half, they would have done away with the half when they went from silver to clad. Kennedy and the lasting impression he had then and now are all that saved that denomination from going the way of the half cent. It's not like today where Congress can't make a rational decision on anything at all.

    I'll agree that they are gorgeous but the merc is still number 1 in my eyes.
