[QUOTE="NotSure, post: 787013, member: 20034"]Am I to understand that even if a seller states 'No Returns' in their description, if I pay with Paypal, I can send the coin (or whatever item I purchase) back and get a refund? Not that I'm new to the 'bay, but I was never aware of this rule. What option do you use when you file with Paypal (assuming, of course, the seller is staunch in his 'no return' policy, you'd have to file through Paypal, freeze the $$, send the item back).

Say you bought a coin that had 'not so clear' images. I think it's a certain variety (this is a real situation for me)...seller 'couldn't' send me clearer images, and due to the real possibility of pulling off a MAJOR rip, I just had to take the chance and use my paultry 'ebay bucks', and put up only $13.00 of my own money. The coin is toned, and coupled with the semi blurry images, it's a tough call to be 100% certain, so I had to jump on it....$13 is a cheap gamble, but with the 'no return' policy, I figured if it WASN'T what I believe it to be, I'm only out $13 (my ebay bucks, I don't count that as 'out of pocket'). SHOULD it be what I BELIEVE it to be (I'm 75% sure it IS the variety I believe it to be, but there's still a 25% chance it isn't), I'll turn an under $45 purchase into a $500-$1,000 coin (depending if it crosses at it's NGC MS66 grade with PCGS, it's $1,000....if it dumps to an MS65, it's $500).

Now, if it ISN'T what I BELIEVE it to be, my grounds for return can't be 'thought it was an unattributed variety that was a major rip'....what would my basis for return be...'not as described/imaged' due to the poor images?

Is this factual (not that I'm doubting you, kanga). I just never knew it was an existing rule with Paypal. Your help/advice will be greatly appreciated IF it isn't what I'm hoping it to be. You can reply here, or shoot me a PM.
