Here we go: I am starting to think this 1915 was lacquered too. AJ said something about it looking not original in Post some Lincolns and it has that same glossy look (I included the side view). I am kind of over removing lacquer so I may sell eventually or put in my album and just enjoy as it is awful purty as GD says. Sent this 15 D to NCS secondary to small verdigris on back (cracked out of 64 BN holder) and came back 63 RB with a darker look. In retrospect I should have briefly soaked in mineral oil, used a rose thorn (it was very superficial) and got it all off with xzlene and sent to PCGS as NGC is lame re: RB designations. Has to be practically all RD to get a RD in my experience. Lesson learned. I still like both coins. Small spot by Lincolns head on 15 D is on the holder (I didn't clean well before pic) and all the verdigris on the 15 is virtually gone now with rose thorn and mineral oil.
