The Colosseum has been done before in Lego (much bigger and better also), so I looked for something unique and found it´s direct predecessor, the Theatre of Marcellus, to be a suitable candidate. It didn´t hurt that it only needs half as many bricks because it only consists of a semicircle (The Colosseum was the first Theatre featuring a full circle as far as I know).</p><p><br /></p><p>I did get architectural drawings for this one and the facade is an exact scale model of the original.
