Legit écu?

    Hi all,

    Just bought a 1734-A French écu off of Ebay. Since I know these are often faked I'm a bit concerned by the weight: 28.95 g (listed on Numista as 29.488 g, so about 0.5g off).

    All other details look OK to me. Any thoughts – is this an acceptable deviation from the stated weight? Thanks.

    I have a few of these, all low-grade, and yours looks okay to me, judging from the photos. Some views of the edge might be helpful.
