    Hello I trying to help find information on an 1986. Lincoln penny must be an error. lberty not Liberty and has no mint mark. Uhmmm. Help. Give me lberty or Liberty lol.

    Sometimes part of the Die that will strike the Blank Planchet would be filled with grease especially on a numeral or letter causing it to not appear on the struck coin. It's called a grease filled die error. very minor and common.

    Only those pennies minted in San Francisco and Denver have mint marks. Those minted in Philadelphia don't have mint marks. Yours is from Philly.

    W/O a pic I will guess at grease filled, but these Philly coins were a mess starting with 1982 and probably up to 1986. Poor strikes, worn dies used to death ( and still are ) . It was even hard to find decent Philly coins in mint sets.
