    One more to add to the Japanese occupation of the Phillipines collection & this one is handstamped JAPWANCAP a first for me :smile. It stands for 'JAPANESE WAR NOTES CLAIMANT
    ASSOCIATION of the PHILIPPINES' an organisation who initially had hoped that with the reparations from Japan that they could trade these funds in for new money. When this failed the association sued the American Government for some hard currency in exchange for these JIM. But as this too was not successful. At least 8 different counterstamps have been identified with a number of sub-varieties & a few with ink color varieties

    The $1 from Singapore is very nice. I've got one similiar although not in as good a shape as yours. I really like it because everytime I pull it out I get reminded of the fun visits I had there years ago. Don't get me wrong... I like the other ones as well. They all are very nice. Thanks for sharing!

    There are words that can describe most anything in this world...but the one word that always comes to my mind when I see the notes that you add to your collection is, WOW!!

    What a fantastic variety of note's, the designs, colors and the burning fire to put all that together!!
