Latest EAC Addition - 1804 Half Cent C-5

I have now added this variety (Cohen-5) to my EAC collection.
Got it off eBay from a well-known dealer.
Interesting die crack bisecting the reverse from about k11 to k4.

Nice example. Weak spike but evident "thread" marks. Great late die state crack on the reverse. Another plain eye die crack from rim to 0 through 2, ribbon end to the bases of UN. I probably goes to the I but might have to look under a glass to see it.

Did you get your EAC sale catalog? I think this is the first year they will have the auction on-line. Since I can't be in SL, I may participate on-line.

 

Don't recall seeing it BUT memory isn't one of my strong point anymore.

 

Amazing crack, the die must have failed shortly after this strike.

Unless they superglued the die together

I owned that coin back in he mid-80's. The red spot at the date I remember well.
