Ballabh, those are very nice Bengal Presidency Mohurs. They are a scarce coin.I did get shown a 1/3 Mohur with the Coat-of-Arms obverse.Unfortunately,I can't read Arabic, apart from the numerals. Aidan.
I am little confused. The Coat-of-Arms of East India Compnay was shown ONLY on one mohur coin. On a half and one-third mohurs, no coats-of-arms is shown. On those two fractional mohurs, there is only a standing lion image and no coats-of-arms. Regards Ballabh Garg
My trip to the CICF has been a resounding sucess. I managed to get some excellent coins at the show today. These include 1946 1/4th rupee (tiger back) MS61 1904C 1/4th rupee (p/L) MS 67 1840C 1/4th rupee MS 64 1835C 1/4th rupee MS 66 Rev I 1946 2 Annas Hyderabad MS60 1936 B (1/4 Anna) MS60 1835 Madras presidency (1/4 Anna) MS62 The bad news is indian coins have become very expensive and are virtually unavailable in high grades. I am sorry I cannot post pictures for two reasons. They have been sent of to PCGS for grading and the main reaason is no camera but overall a lot of hard work and some just rewards. Let me know what you guys think.
