Steve, have you bought any more British Commonwealth coins? Next time when you are posting photos, please read the coins carefully.Getting the coinage denominations & their currency signs correct is very important.

Steve, hang on there.I don't claim to be perfect.No-one is.I am typing with my left hand ,as the second finger on my right hand is very sore,as I have a painful scab about 2" below the finger nail.

Steve, you will have to take a glass & look for the mintmarks that are hidden somewhere in the design. You will be surprised at what you will find & see.

Steve, the 1/12 Anna coin is also known as a 1 Pie coin. There are coins from some of the Indian Princely States that have the British monarch's portrait on the obverse.I have a 1912 1/4 Anna from Sailana.

    1907 Calcutta
    1910 Calcutta
    1912 Calcutta
    1913 Calcutta
    1918 Calcutta
    1919 Calcutta
    1920 Calcutta
    1927 Calcutta or Bombay
    1934 Calcutta
    1935 Calcutta

    1894 1/12 anna Calcutta

and none of the Calcutta have MM on them, I do think though that there are some veriations in the head and also on some of the decorations on the George V, if I remember right it has something to do with aelephant and a pig LOL

Steve, the 'Pig' elephant is only on the silver coins dated 1911,not the copper coins.

Steve, according to that website, the 1911 1/4 Anna is worth 150 Quid, even though the mintage is listed at around 55,000,000.I suspect that this is the original mintage figure, including those that were pulled & melted down.
