HA! I dont blame you though. I bought a Gorgon/Crawfish and it turned out to be a fake from a very reputable seller, got a refund though. Another reason I have been slow to get into greek silver. Love the Alexander the Greats but too expensive for something that seems so common.

I see the plautius plancus occasionally, beautiful pieces.

I have my first Roman Republican on layaway, but not gonna say which till its in my possession. One of the prettiest I have seen. Isnt a common Roma type either, cant get into those.

Yeah, the Apollonia pieces are beautiful, but the fakes are way to good. and the republicans of here are way out of my budget, but eventually I'll get there.

Can't wait to see your republican!

I like the portraits of Domna on my pieces. I want the Antonini. style hairstyle of her for some reason. I like the Vesta Denarii of her with it but I also like the Antoninianus of her, just theyre expensive, even on ebay.

Ive thought about a bronze Faustina Sr. or Jr. Prices are reasonable but Faustinas in general are not on the top of my list.

Do not forget Plautilla on your list of empresses, she's the pretiest

What you see here is the evolution of her portrait on coins minted in Rome in only three years, from AD 202 to 205, and all the reverses going with them at the same time. Not every reverse goes with all obverses though (see here for details : http://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-42947 )

Oh I didnt forget about her, she seemed cute too. Love my coin of her too. Julia Mamaea wasnt bad looking either.

Love the portrait on my Otacilia Severa as well.

I just realized we are all basically getting the hots from women who have been dead for a really long time......that's not at all weird. (at least mine is mythical, and eternal) :p
