Hello Dan, Yep it is always pretty...been a long haul for collecting this series from inception to present. When opening the safe, I have put a mirror on the rear and side walls where the gold is stored and it sure is pretty..makes it look like alot is there too. About 52% of the AGE series is in PCGS coffins at MS 69 only (2) 68's. Doug has sent me to the darkside onec..and no doubt I will revisit it again..some really nice coins out there. Primary focus is AGE series 1986 to ......until death do us part! regards, RickieB
Speedster... Here is the 3rd 1988 1/4 oz AGE..could not pass it up as it is a tough date to get as well. Thanks for taking a peek...will post the 91 1/2 oz and 56 Wash came back as a 66 DCam:vanish: this coin is easily a 68..but I suppose thats why I am cell culture scientist instead of a coin grader... Happy New Year! RickieB
i just checked around ebay and noticed on the completed auction listings that the 1991 1/2 ounce age in MS is like 2x as expensive as one in PR... why?
Well Vision.. Since 1986 when this series first began, there have been different mintages just as with any other coin..the 1991 1/2 oz AGE is the scarcest AGE in the entire series..with a mintage of 24, 100 coins..they are very difficult to get. If you do find one it will cost somewhere in the 1100.00 to 1400.00 range depending on the grade. Mine has been shipped back to me from PCGS a(awaiting delivery) but was notified it graded a MS68 ! I am a happy camper on that one!! RickieB
NICE coin Rickie...from here it looks like a easy MS68 69..... Sorry to hear about the grade of the quarter.....DCAMEO is still pretty good!!! Make sure you post photos. Speedy
