[QUOTE="HappyHighway, post: 2640467, member: 78142"]Folks, I generally pop on here with a question or two once in a while (Though I do read the forums regularly as it is a great venue to learn information). Just for fun, I thought I would post my last purchase of 2016 with my first purchase of 2017. Please feel free to judge, bash, berate or belittle my purchases. I love them and couldn't be happier. My last purchase of 2016 was an 1882 $5 Half Eagle certified MS-61 by NGC. I paid $375 which is about on par with HA. This is important because though I have some bullion, I have never owned any pre-1933 gold and it was important for me to be pre-1900. The 1882 is great because its so readily available in Mint State condition. My first purchase of 2017 was an 1872 Two-Cent Piece certified F-12 by PCGS. I paid $475 which again is about on par with HA but significantly lower than PCGS price guide (For whatever that's worth...). This is important for me because, aside from the 1867 D/D, it completed my Two-Cent collection. I do have 3 I will be upgrading but I consider it complete nonetheless.
