This is the other canvas(these prints are on canvas, makes it feel like ya got the real deal:) ) Plus I got a circa 1900(it's signed inside in pencil '02) copy of 'The Novels of Edward Bulwer Lord Lytton' the title being the same as the painting by Karl Bryullov.
..This is the mystic that surrounds this great, truly rich frozen place and time..Pompeii ( and it's sister city, Herculaneum. which is also the name of a lil town north of me here in Mo.).. gives us a look into the past, along with it's treasures and meaning for these things we collect and feel a part of in our own ways..:)...the coin will be Titus or coins of that era when Mt. Vesuvius claimed those as her own, and left us a most fascinating treasure

1984's mini-series The Last Days of Pompeii in all it's cheesy glory, along with a sestertius of Titus. Admittedly not the same thing, but it's a guilty pleasure.

Where else can you see Ned Beatty, Ernest Borgnine, and Sir Lawrence Olivier in the same film?
