I need a little help on a recent purchase, yesterday I purchased a large buffalo /indian silver coin from the dealer I do alot of business withit is a 2001, on the edge it says 999 pure silver, it says on the obverse 1/4 pound with the indian, on the reverse it has the large buffalo, would this be a troy ounce coin? Can you tell me it's actual value? The COA is from the american historic society. Thank You in advance for your help.

So it's a 1/4 troy pound of .999? What'd you pay for it? The COA means nothing, it's a bullion round, and just worth melt. And yes, all PMs are measured in troy ounces.
