Langborn 1933 Double Eagle lawsuit

    What is the latest information on the lawsuit over the 10 1933 gold double eagles? Thanks.

    It's over and done with. They lost (shouldnt have but did) and have no more recourse. Nail is in that coffin

    The U.S. Supreme Court declined to take up the Langborn's appeal in 2017, leaving the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals decision (en banc) in favor of the government as the final ruling.

    How exciting for the government! Perhaps they can apply that $240 toward fixing the nation debt.

    Well they can't sell them part of the agreement over the Farouk specimen was they would never monetize another one. My belief is they did that as a facesaving mechanism to allow the government to pretend to control them.
