    I would think it just shows that pre-1900 Liberty Head DE's are just very tough to get in Mint State, esp. Type 1 and Type 2's.

    But you could also say that maybe some dealers didn't want to sell at a loss. OTOH....I thought most dealers did kick-ass business online during the last year, right ? We kept hearing higher revenues and lower expenses (no travelling to shows, etc.).

    We have some dealers here @ CT....love to hear from the folks with 1st-hand knowledge.

    This show -- and other Florida shows including FUN -- no doubt benefit from all the transplanted retirees who have plenty of time (and $$$ :D ).

    Glad the dealers had a good time and made some $$$.

    It's held at the RP Funding Center just off downtown Lakeland. For a smallish town, it's a pretty large convention center, nicely appointed, good parking, some parking lot security (even if they are older than me), and reasonably easy to get to.

    The room the show was held in is the same one as the previous shows I've attended over the last 3 years and the room was full, just like in past years.

    @Insider is correct that there is an adjacent hotel that is literally only steps away from the coin show hall.

    A 4-day coin show that seems very well-run....and it's not anywhere near as well-known as the other biggies. A good job to strike while the iron is hot !

    They'll probably get lots of good word-of-mouth this year that will help in future years.

    Another big day. ICG is havig a good show, depending on tommorow it could become vG. No "wow" coins seen at the table. Best was a well done 93-S with an added MM and a contemporary C/f 1877 25c.

    Dealer next to us has a case of SEGS slabs (none selling) so I gave him some free submissions to try out ICG to prove our slabs sell much better. ;):troll:

    Ther are 100 dealers registered at the show and I don't believe that includes the ones walking the floor.

    I'm buying PPC between customers. should probably be buying silver instead but that's no fun.:hilarious:

    I bought two coins in ICG slabs at the show yesterday: 1913 Ty. 1 Buffalo Nickel MS-65 and an 1871 LS $1 EF-40. The nickel is very well-struck and a luster bomb. It looks much better to me than many 66's I've seen in other slabs. Final judgement will have to wait until I can take photographs.

    @Insider, what is "PPC"?
