Kyme Aeolis AE

    Howdy y'all,

    Here's another excellent bronze that caught my eye! I'll be honest the reverse on this one sold me. Great details and just the right thickness for the flan! Again I acquired this from Brian Bucklan. Yeah there's a pattern here lol.

    Anyways here it is and enjoy!

    250-190 B.C., AE Diodoros Magistrate, 19mm, 7.3g
    Obv: Bust of the amazon Kyme facing to the right
    Rev: Horse standing to the right with raised foreleg, KY above and one handled cup at the lower right. ΔIOΔΩPOΣ below

    I like the coins from Kyme Aeolis, and your example is sure pretty.

    Very nice all around! I purchased this at one of the first coin shows that FFIVN and I attended. No horse but it is still from Kyme, Aeolis

    Nice coins everyone!...I only have one....
    Aeolis, Kyme, c. 165-90 BC. Æ (16mm, 3.84g, 12h). Zoilos, magistrate.
    Obverse...Draped bust of Artemis right, hair in sphendone, quiver and bow over shoulder.
    Reverse...Single-handled oenoechoe (Kyme's cup) with KY above (Kyme), flanked either side by laurel branches.
    Magistrates name left to right across central field Z-Ω / I-Λ / O-Σ..Zoilos.
