Kyme, AE15

    I haven't bought much I have thought worthy of sharing with you for a while. I think that this little Greek AE is quite pretty (I have a soft spot for coins with horses).

    Kyme, Aeolis, AE15, 3rd Century B.C.
    Obv:– Forepart of horse right, KY upper left, EYBIOS (magistrate's name) below.
    Rev:– one-handled vase, EYBI monogram left
    Minted in Kyme. 3rd Century B.C.
    Reference:– BMC Aeolis p. 108, 45

    Looks like a toy horse. Great coin. Had my eye on some coins from Kyme lately, but the bids always go beyond my budget.

    Yeeehaaaaa => yup, I love the good ol' Greek animal-coins!!

    => great coin, Martin (that is definitely one that I'd like in my stable!!)

    .... man, I need to buy some more coins (it's been far too long since my last purchase) ... *sigh*

    Again => very cool pick-up (I don't have an example from this city ... very cool)
