There isn't. The Grey Sheet is unique in the world. All other price guides, and I mean ALL of them, are worthless for obtaining realistic values for coins. And even the Grey Sheet has limited usefulness. But that doesn't mean you can't find out what realistic values are for world coins. You just have to do the work yourself. Just like you do with US coins because the Grey Sheet only gives you realistic values for US coins that are average for the grade. To find out the rest of what you need to know, you need to search auction records. And for world coins you can that in these two places - http://www.coinarchives.com/ http://www.mcsearch.info/index.html
Thanks for telling me just what I didn't want to hear. We can always count on you for that, Doug. ...and the work myself I am doing! And thanks so much for the auction archives! You know, I've seen these before in searches, but I didn't know what exactly they were. Now I do! Much appreciated...
Unfortunately, it's the truth. Those of us who started out collecting US coins realize how spoiled we are when we begin to branch out into world coins.
Well, that is the kind of "problem" you run into when so far you have dealt with 1 (one) country only, and suddenly notice there are a few hundred more, depending on when you start counting. Christian
