Stopped by one of my LCSs last night and they had just got in a collection of Kooks. I have the 2011 PCGS graded and the 2012 raw. Never really thought about collecting them. They look nice and these were all inair-tights and protected in flips. Eight were marked at $35, two at $40 and two at $43. I asked if they would take $35 each if I bought all twelve. The owner said he wasn't sure and he would have to figure a price. He sat down at the calculator and came up with $407 for the lot. $33.91 per.

    I got the 93, 96, 97, 98, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2010.

Guess I'm now a collector of Kooks for bullion. Might have to see about tracking down the missing years.

Kooks are great coins. I have all of them. You got a very good price on the back dates.

  4. You did well. Prices have been dropping since Perth Mint started reissuing/restriking prior years. TC

These are mine, missing 1998 and some in the 2000s. I try to buy them if I see them for (relatively) cheap.

I just have one....the 2012, but I love the designs. I would have jumped at the price you got all those old ones for...

Don't own any Kook's at the moment. But have my eye on maybe picking up the 2010 TEN ouncer! Something about it makes me need to start the Kook fever, lol.
