Just yesterday I read an article about some 9th grade girls who conducted an experiment concerning WIFI radiation and its effect on seed growth, in which they demonstrated that the seeds exposed to WIFI radiation did not grow while the others flourished. Scientists all over the world were amazed and now plan to do additional studies to back up the group's findings. Sometimes they are so busy looking at the trees that they miss the forest, so to speak. We need people to look at trees, but not only people to look at trees. I've always had a problem with so-called technocrats, which I differentiate from scholars who dedicate their lives to pursuing a subject they are passionate about (the field of education is full of both). People who are truly passionate about a subject aren't going to look down on the contributions of another person in that field based on credentials. All that being said, I would be thrilled if Doug wrote an article for Koinon!
