today was bored, after looking at newest purchases that came in the post..so went to me banque, and withdrew 20.00 in dimes, and 5.00 in pennies, so far only killed three rolls of dimes (think i will be seeing em in me sleep , lol) anyways...second roll, yup, a silver, wow, i know not much nowadays, but back 40 or 45 years ago when i used to roll hunt...and was finding silver and 40% halves all day long...well, here is the breakdown...found about 30 that are anywhere between ms-63-ms-67, a few frosty almost proof like ones, the silver (1946 bent) and about 7 new error coins, (die clashes, cuds, mad, and struck through) and another 15 or so mad or collar alignment which i will just sell somewhere's down the road...maybe tomorrow finish off tha dimes, and start hitting the pennies..
at the flea market (sigh) if it ever opens, i know on here everybody says these errors are worthless, yet there are plenty sold on ebay, and i have sold some locally as well..if these errors are so cheap, say for (struck through) grease, or whatever, how come i see prices so high?? where can i buy errors at prices this forum says they should be at???
WELL, FINISHED GOING THROUGH THE DIME ROLLS, AND FOUND ANOTHER SILVER! HAVE TO SAY WELL WORTH THE TIME AND ENJOY THE HUNT, VERY GOOD RATIO TO THE LIMITED NUMBER OF ROLLS, STILL HAVE THE 10 ROLLS OF PENNIES TO GO THROUGH..NEXT TIME GONNA GO FOR 100.00 IN DIMES AND SEE WHAT THAT NETS
Well, had a jug upstairs, and a jug downstairs (this one done already) so...found this lil guy i got in change..., and about 25 die attrition cents, 150 uncirculated, and mad's and quite a few partial plating errors as well, out of about 25.00 in coins..(still have 8 rolls from the bank to go)
