Nice find, amazed how that key Jefferson avoided detection all these years.

We've found many of those through the years. The only thing they're missing is the D. Nice find.

Volume. But location can really improve one’s prospects. A fellow CRH enthusiast in Florida used to hit often. Probably an influx of coin collections from passing hobbyists whose spouses didn’t know what they were cashing in. I’ve found a couple 38 D’s over the years but not at a rate like that enthusiast. And I never did volumes like him or Larry.

Yeah, when I coin roll hunted, it absolutely is a numbers game and the more you look at, volume, the more likely you are to find something then searching casually.

Like quarter hunting, when I was doing 3-4 boxes a week in 2019, I hit lighting a couple times on fresh BU boxes, that time period I probably searched 50 boxes of quarters though before te world lost their minds, put together a nice set of state quarters and got current with the parks quarters, upgraded a lot of my clad quarters, I found some rim cuds, heck even couple of the enameled canadian quarters, and a lone single silver quarter.

No idea what volume Larry is searching daily or weekly or monthly, but I have to say, nickels are probably hands down the most productive for older dates, possible overlooked keys and semi keys, buffalos, occasional v nickels, and yes, silver even, 35% but still silver that nobody really seems to care about to hunt!
