That's the right thing to do. Unfortunately, this kind of thing happens at every grading service. It is very embarassing when these oversights leave the company.

Thankfully, there are millions of eyes watching out for these mistakes. Most of the time the owner of the coin sends it back to be fixed. I cannot post how I regard the folks :bucktooth::clown::blackeye: who keep these label errors and show them off as a "look how much smarter I am :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious: than the TPGS."

True story: I was at a major coin show in the 1980's and the PCGS booth had one case with a black velvet lining containing an NGC slabbed Morgan dollar with a label error. The date was incorrect. I asked what's the big deal? This stuff happens all the time. At the time I was between TPGS's so I was considered just a nobody. My coinhead friend and I looked around the floor and in 30 min. I had bought two PCGS Morgan dollars with label errors. I took them over to the PCGS table and what do you know, they took down their display and removed the NGC slab. Stuff like that is very low class in my opinion.
