I was thinking about taking the rest of the year off, but I have to admit that I am throughly addicted. The result is that I have 6 more boxes to go through tomorrow.

TOLS196024 do you order these through the bank you work at?

My Bank will not order them inless I pay a Service Fee and get this: 8% Sales Tax.
So i have to order them through Wal-Mart! :)

Can you believe they charge Sales Tax on coinage????? Crazy!!!!

Hmm.... I can't say that I've ever heard of them charging sales tax on coin. They are perfectly within their rights to charge a service fee (usually about 10 cents per roll). Most banks will waive this fee if you are a customer.

Yes, I do get my boxes delivered to the bank I work at. Even better, I am (for all intents and purposes) the boss now. So, I can have whatever coin I want ordered without having to listen to snide comments from superiors.

6 rolls into the box I got the bank to order, so far no silver, and a few slot machine abuse victims, but found a really nice 1996, and a few 99's and 2000's. And a 2001!

Going to get 4 more rolls tomorrow! After that need some time to get rid of the extras, lol. Am saving any silver, 87's, 99's and later, rest I'm spending as I can.

Nice pull Moen! I went through 2 of 6 boxes last night with decent results:
    1918-S
    1943
    1958-D
    1964 2
    1966
    1967 6
    1968 2
    1969

I've had better. But considering how things having been going recently, I was pretty happy.

WOW a 1918-S! I've never found much in that range.

You all are killing me! What banks carry rolls of halfs? Since I first saw this post 2 weeks ago every bank I've been to anwsers my question if they have any rolls of halves with a one word question in return. Rolls?
How and where do I get rolls? I see people on ebay selling bank boxes of rolls of the new nickels and asked my bank about this as well? It's driving me crazy to read your finds.
    Help!

Just ask a bank to order them for you. They come in boxes of $500. By the way, banks can't order boxes of the new nickels. Its luck of the draw. Best of luck!

My bank (formerly Commercial Federal, now Bank of the West) does not carry half dollars normally, besides a few loose ones that may be in the tellers' drawers. However they were willing to order me a box (50 rolls, or $500 worth). Most banks will do this for you for a small fee, which they'll probably waive entirely if you're a customer of that bank.

Try to avoid doing this in a city or town too near a casino though, as you'll get a lot of halves severely beaten up by slot machines. Slot machines are very nastly to coins, marking, denting, and scratching the coin severely, as well as wearing down the edges (since the slot machine mechanisms roll them along their edge). Not a pretty sight.

Nickels typically come in boxes of 50 rolls too ($100 worth). Whether or not these are peace medal/keelboat/bison/Ocean in View nickels is luck of the draw. Depends on if the rolls were filled from mint bags or from recycled nickels collected from the banks. When I ask my bank for rolls, typically it's about 50/50 mixed rolls versus solid date rolls.
