moen, how are fullstep nickels and fullband dimes coming for 2005? i have a full bands i think. its pretty good and separated.

Have had severe withdrawal symptoms from not being able to get fresh halves to search recently. Similar average results as others, say one half in five rolls or so. Some great boxes and bags weighted down by some pre-searched shutouts. Some right on the average. Don't have detailed records, and keepers are in safe deposit boxes. Have never used albums. Mainly in it for the bullion value, but the other finds are fun as well.

I busted another roll yesterday (from the same bank I had my 15 silver in out of 20 coins). They only had the one roll, but they were happy to give it up.

Got a 40% silver 1967 out of it. Not too bad if you ask me.

By the way, if anyone happens to be picking up the scraps of what I leave behind, you may well find something good. I take the silver ones and throw everything else back, so there may be some error coins or other rarities in there that I'm not noticing. It's better that way; it gives others something to shoot for and it saves my eyesight.

 

I was offered 60 cents for the 40% silver Kennedys and 2.25 for each 90% silver Kennedy today. Anybody get any better prices offered and from where.

 

I sold some 64 Halves for $2.00 each to a dealer...all were BU but they also had fingerprints on them...I wasn't too sad about the price but I would have liked a little bit more....

Moen, You might look at the <apmex.com> site. I have never sold any of mine to APMEX or anyone. But if I am reading the information there correctly, they are willing to buy 40% at about 2xface; just over 5xface on 90%; call ahead to lock price; you pay actual shipping cost of your own choosing; $1,000 minimum transaction; or you can deliver to Ok City with no receiving fee?? Let me know if I am missing something.

Moen1206...I'm glad to hear you found one, why don't you just put it back into a roll and let some collector who might appreciate it find it. I'm so glad you are hear to speak for "most collectors".

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not much of an error coin collector. "hear" to speak-I'm confused??? Anyway, what I meant to say by "most collectors" was, most collectors I know. I didn't mean to overstep my authority. Sorry.

And I talked with my local coin guy today and he offered me .75 cents a piece for my 40% silver finds. That's up from .60 cents. Silver prices climbing??? Stay tuned folks.

 

Went through 15 rolls today. Didn't find a single thing.

the most beautiful coin that i loved. i wish i could have a roll of 1964 kennedy uncirculated coins.

 

I'm picking up 1000 to 1500 dollars worth tomorrow. I'll let you know what I find. Same Bat time, Same bat channel.

 

Well Tuesday came and went an there was absolutely nothing in the entire $1000 bag.

I thankfully didn't give up and over lunch I picked up another $500. My totals are as below.

Morgan, was the 1976 proof a silver proof? Nice finds.

And I still have two more boxes of Kennedy's to search this evening. I've never found any 1987 P's or D's until today and now I've found three. And what are the odds of finding two proof coins of the same year in different rolls? I'll let you know how my last two boxes go.

 

What are the chances of finding a 1919 walker by searching rolls?

 

Pretty slim I'd say.

 

My last two boxes contained only 11 40% silver coins. The coin God giveth and the coin God taketh away.

 

cool, because I found one along with some other walkers. I'll post my goodies next weekend. I will be superbusy this weekend and next week.
