Another thread folks and hoping that you can share your Kennedy Half dollars. I wanted to let other collectors that I'm not fixated with just quarters and that I have some other denomination. Hope you can share yours for us to appreciate. Thank you and Happy Collecting
Inventory so far. They are all Uncirculated and most are from the U.S. Mint. I excluded one 1964 circulated in VF condition and I won that coin from a Black Jack card game.
Surprisingly, my Kennedy half book was one of my more difficult accomplishments. I believe it was an inspired design given the tragedy that preceded its issuance and is among the more striking designs ever released by the US mint. I love me a Kennedy half.
Like Pokémon, I hadta catch 'em all, and I did. It's all just maintenance now. Ditto for Franklin halves and Walkers back to 1939. All Mint State.
I have two complete sets in Dansco albums #7166 [no proofs]. The problem is the album ends with 2017. I have not bought the 2018 P & D. I have no place to put them. Is Dansco going to come out with a new page or do I just get a blank page?
Offhand, I can't think of any U.S. denomination I DON'T have a plain Dansco page for, standing by just in case. Op, one. No 27mm. (SBA/Sac/Prez/Native)
I don't use any album and to prevent toning of my coins, I vacuum seals them all and put them away for a very long time.
Yes. I spoke to a rep and it is supposed to come out sometime at the end of this summer. I have it on my "want list" and they will notify me when available.
How are you guys getting BU halves from 1971-2001? The Copper Clads seem to be the most difficult to collect. I have had that experience with my Ike collection.
And they are sure commanding a premium on them too. I can live without it. Just moving forward with what I can get from the U.S. Mint.
Almost all of my coins are uncirculated from the US Mint except one coin that I won at a black jack table and it is in VF condition.
