Just want some opinions about this coin.

    Was going through my 1970 cents, looking for small and large dates and came across this. What do you guys think?

    certainly appears doubled to me

    Same, but I thought it was strange that there was no doubling elsewhere.

    Prior to 1989, mintmarks were punched into the die by hand.

    So if they were hand punched into the Obverse Die that cannot be a Doubled Die Variety. That's what we mean.

    Doubled Die coins are not errors either, they are varieties. The 1955/1955 is a variety.
