Which is why you and I and many like us, "buy the coin and not the holder". I will never buy a coin, because the holder says it's a specific grade. I look at the coin first, grade it and then see what the TPG had to say. Then I ask the important question, "How much?". If I like all 3, then and only then, will I buy it.
Well the consensus was ....since most buyers are more in tune to purchase an pcgs slabed coin they didn't care....as their margins were higher. My thoughts .... and this is how I always conducted myself in the business world. Always be honest, give your honest opinion, and explain why....if possible show them the differences. True...you may not make a higher profit but, you made a customer for life! Once trust is established one controls the field of play, so your margin may not be huge, but it will be steady...besides word of mouth will aford you more bang for the buck then any other monies spent to advertise.
That was a very poor grading effort. Even if you want a slabbed coin, you should apply your own eyeballs.
That dig above the head looks like one of those "trefoil" test marks we see on trade dollars, just smaller.
